What is FTL (Full Truck Load)?

FTL is a freight mode where a single shipper books an entire truck for their consignment. It offers faster, direct point-to-point transit with no consolidation stops — ideal for large or time-sensitive B2B loads.

With FTL you pay a fixed rate for the whole vehicle regardless of how full it is, and the truck runs directly from origin to destination. That means faster transit and less handling damage than PTL, which is why bulk stock transfers and heavy consignments favour it.

Rule of thumb: once a load fills roughly 60–70% or more of a truck, FTL often becomes cheaper per unit than PTL — and it removes the consolidation delays entirely.
