Serviceability, COD and ODA flags are indicative estimates for planning. Live per-parcel checks run against each courier’s pincode master inside RouteOneX.
What pincode serviceability really tells you
Not every courier reaches every one of India’s ~19,000 delivery pincodes. Before you commit an EDD at checkout, it pays to know which partners actually service the destination, whether they’ll carry COD there, and how long the leg is likely to take. Matching each order to a courier that genuinely covers the PIN is one of the simplest ways to reduce NDR and RTO.
ODA (Out of Delivery Area) and why it matters
Interior and remote pincodes are often marked ODA — the courier reaches them, but off its normal route. Expect a longer TAT (typically 6–9 days), a surcharge, and sometimes a self-collection handover. Spotting an ODA flag early lets you set honest expectations with the buyer instead of absorbing a surprise delay or a return.
Questions about this tool
Serviceability tells you whether a courier actually picks up or delivers at a given pincode. Each courier maintains its own pincode master, so a PIN that's deliverable on one partner may be out of network on another. Checking before you promise a delivery date cuts down on failed orders and RTO.
COD (Cash / Pay on Delivery) is enabled per courier and per pincode — it's often narrower than prepaid coverage, especially in remote areas. The COD column here shows which serviceable couriers accept cash-on-delivery for that PIN so you can decide whether to offer COD at checkout.
ODA stands for Out of Delivery Area — an interior or far-flung pincode (think parts of the North-East, hill districts or islands) that sits outside a courier's regular delivery beat. ODA shipments usually cost more, take longer, and sometimes need last-mile handover, so it's worth flagging before dispatch.
The figures here are indicative estimates to help you plan coverage and compare couriers. Inside RouteOneX, each shipment is validated in real time against the live pincode master of every connected courier before a label is generated.
